    The National Social Marketing Centre launches as a social enterprise

    On 8 July, National Social Marketing Centre officially launched as a non-profit social enterprise established to serve a community interest. The NSMC was launched in 2006 by the Department of Health (DH) to build capacity and skills in social marketing across the NHS. They have four main areas of focus; to build capacity and skills in social marketing across a range of topics and countries; to provide policy advice on developing and evaluating behaviour change policies; an independent evaluation and cost evaluation service for behaviour change programmes; and a membership programme.
