Social care information and advice case studies available

Think Local, Act Personal have this week published a series of case studies of information, advice and brokerage initiatives in social care. The case studies were collected from local authorities and others following a call for practice in Spring 2013. The case studies will be of interest to councils and others as they develop their services in response to the requirements of the Care Bill. The case studies have been categorised into the key themes of website, prevention, brokerage/ peer support, assisted signposting, self-funders/ financial advice, printed guides, remodelling services and carers.

The case studies have not been evaluated by Think Local Act Personal, their value is in demonstrating a variety of different approaches being taken around the country, and sharing the learning.
