CHANGE are pleased to announce a new Sexual Health & Relationships resource containing over 100 photos and 500 illustrations to help you support people with learning disabilities to talk about sexual health issues. You can use this resource to create easy read documents using the images in the collection.
Their latest resource has been developed following research carried out with the University of Leeds Centre for Disability Studies, “Talking About Sex and Relationships”. Due to the success of their Sex & Relationships books which look at the views and experiences of young people with learning disabilities, CHANGE has developed this new resource led by people with learning disabilities, supported by their parents, focus groups and teachers.
CHANGE’s new Sexual Health and Relationship resource contains over 100 photos and 500 illustrations to help you:
- Create easy read documents about sexual health and relationships
- Support people with learning disabilities to talk about sexual health issues
- Help people with learning disabilities develop positive relationships, recognise negative relationships and stay safe
The Collection is a downloadable product which you install on your computer. To get an insight into what the photo image bank is and why they made it, take a look at this video made by the volunteers and staff at CHANGE. To find out more about the full range of licenses on offer call 0113 388 0011.
