NHS England and NHS Choices are conducting a review of the NHS Choices accountability and performance hub. This section of the website gives people access to data used by both the NHS and local authorities. Anyone can have this information and they hope people will use it to scruitinise services, challenge them to improve and hold them to account.
The information that people can find covers data such as:
Social care data
1. Enhancing quality of life for people with care and support needs
2. Delaying and reducing the need for care and support
3. Ensuring that people have a positive experience of care and support
4. Safeguarding adults whose circumstances make them vulnerable and protecting them from avoidable harm
1. Patient experience
2. Patient safety
3. Patient outcomes
A workshop is being held on 4th July 2014 to bring together people from a range of backgrounds, including service users, carers, the public, commissioners, care professionals and providers, and data specialists.
It will explore this section of the website and the workshop will involve a range of creative activities, including informal discussions and group exercises. These are designed to capture each participant’s unique perspective on the topic, and the needs and motivations of its visitors.
You do not need to have used or have accessed this type of health and care data to be able to contribute to the discussions at the workshop.
