Action for ME in Scotland (a member of the Health & Social Care Alliance Scotland) have launched a series of films as part of a digital story telling project to empower people with ME to share their individual stories about the impact of living with ME.
The topics of the films include:
- Practical tips from experiences of managing the condition (e.g. about working with M.E. and diet)
- Patient and GP perspectives for professional education use
- Introduction to a local self-help/support group with contributions from other group members
- Awareness-raising of the impacts on individual’s lives, including the very severely affected
Action for M.E. Chief Executive Sonya Chowdhury said, “These videos give a very personal insight into what living with M.E. means. We are grateful to all those taking part for sharing their experiences and helping to raise awareness and understanding of this terrible illness.”
