Kindly supported by Macmillan Cancer Support, the Patient Information Forum will be holding an interactive event on Friday 27 September 2019 on Health Information Challenges and Solutions. This event is open to PIF members only and is free to attend.
The event will give PIF members the opportunity to take time out to share their challenges and solutions on a range of health information topics.
The workshop will follow the principles of Open Space, so attendees have control over the topics that are discussed on the day and there is no set agenda. There are no speakers and timings are loose.
Harrison Owen developed and popularised Open Space from 1985. He felt the best bits of conferences or meetings were always the breaks and aimed to create those kinds of conversations all the time.
At our previous workshop last year, attendees suggested topics that mattered most to them and took responsibility for the discussions. Topics discussed included:
- Accessible information
- Convincing stakeholders of the value of good health information
- Design on a budget
- Digital information
- Engaging with expert and lay reviewers
- Hard to reach groups
- How to decide what to publish
- Information Standard
- Promoting information
- Role of the arts in health information
If you would like to join us on 27th September please book early, as this workshop is kept deliberately small to aid discussion. There are just 25 places available.
Please note: The event is free to attend for PIF members. However , as spaces are limited, for 'no-shows' or where cancellation is made with less than 7 days notice, a £50+VAT fee will be payable. No fee will be payable if a PIF member colleague attends in your place.
We hope you can join us.
