Each year flu season strikes – it’s inevitable, but are we doing enough to support our communities? A simple change to the language used in our promotional materials, or the way we frame our messaging can go a long way in influencing someone’s behaviour. In this presentation, we share the inner workings of our campaign to increase uptake of the flu vaccine amongst care home staff, and analyse some of our own health content for behaviour change best practice.

Katherine Dickinson – Campaigns Manager, MS Society

The MS Society runs a number of campaigns to support people with MS in managing their condition. We wanted to empower people with relapsing MS to make more informed choices about taking disease modifying therapies, and support people with MS to be more physically active and to give up smoking.

Behaviour change campaigning is relatively new to the charity and Katherine will be sharing insights from the past year or so, on planning, implementing and evaluating campaigns that give people the knowledge, skills and confidence to take control of their MS.
