This Professional Development Day will provide PIF members with the chance to explore experiences of personalising health information and behaviour change.  We hope this will be a truly interactive day.  The event is kindly hosted by Macmillan Cancer Support at their offices in London.

10.00–10.30 Registration, refreshments and networking

10.30–11.00 Welcome and introductions - Claire Murray, Joint Head of Operations, Patient Information Forum 

11.00–11.30 Learning from Prostate Cancer UK’s Self-Management Guides - Minal Smith, Health Information Officer, Prostate Cancer UK

Minal will share learning from the development of Prostate Cancer UK’s Self-Management Guides for Men and their Partners, particularly in designing interactive guides and whether the guides have helped men learn and try new ways to manage their symptoms and side effects.

11.30–12.00 A personalisation tool for online health information - Carol McCambley, Stakeholder Engagement Manager, NHS 24

12.00–12.30 Speed networking (including refreshment break): This is your opportunity to engage with other event attendees, and make useful connections.

12.30–1.00 Interactive session: Delegates will share their experiences and challenges of personalising health information

1.00–1.45 LUNCH

1.45–2.15 Behaviour change using video - Richard Wyatt-Haines, Director, Health and Care Videos

2.15-2.45  Outreach campaigns providing solutions to drive behaviour change - Rob Smith, Operations Director, Outreach Solutions Ltd

2.45–3.15 Interactive session: Delegates will share their experiences of behaviour change approaches within their own organisations

3.15–3.30 Sum up and close - Claire Murray, Joint Head of Operations, Patient Information Forum

The event is free to attend for PIF members. But please note, as spaces are limited, for 'no-shows' or where cancellation is made with less than 72 hours notice, a £45+VAT fee will be payable. No fee will be payable if a colleague attends in your place.

Non-members are welcome to attend the event at a cost of £75+VAT, which includes a complimentary one year membership of PIF.
