NHS Improving Quality are hosting a webinar on 12 October between 11.15am – 12.15pm on person centred care.
The guest speaker will be Dr Martin McShane, Medical Director for Long Term Conditions – NHS England, and the session will be hosted by Beverley Matthews, Long Term Conditions Leads, NHS Improving Quality.
The session will consider
1. What is Person Centred Care?
2. Why it is relevant and necessary?
3. What needs to happen for it to happen?
4. What each of us can do to contribute?
The webinar follows the launch in September of the NHS England Declaration on person centred care for people with long term conditions.
This was developed by NHS England’s Long Term Conditions Team with input from health and care professionals, policy makers and people with long-term conditions. It sets out sets out the importance of person-centred care for people with long-term conditions, what needs to change and why.
