Patient involvement and information on medicines in Europe

EUPATI (the European Patients Academy) have published a summary of how medicines information in Europe is developed, and the involvement of patients in its creation.

The summary looks at package labelling and the leaflets that are included within medicines packaging.

They highlight that companies should consult with appropriate patient groups to ensure the product information (both content and layout) is legible, clear, and easy to use so that patients can locate important information within the package leaflet, understand it, and act appropriately.

They provide links to the European Commission Guideline on the readability of the labelling and package leaflet of medicinal products for human use.
