The first degree designed specifically to train people for the new NHS Digital Healthcare Scientist role has been launched by the University of Warwick.

Delivered by Warwick Manufacturing Group and developed in partnership with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust, the BSc Degree will be open as both a full-time undergraduate course and a Degree Apprenticeship.

The course adopts a fusion science approach: taking into consideration aspects of digital science, academic and professional development, clinical decision making, physiological science and behavioural science.

It is accredited by the National School of Healthcare Science as part of Health Education England.
