- Role: Healthcare Information Writer, Marie Curie
- Salary: Day rate or project rate negotiable
- Location: Home Based
- Job type: Freelance
- Deadline for applications: 10th October 2019
Marie Curie is looking for a writer to develop new content for our online information hub for health and social care professionals, the Palliative Care Knowledge Zone (PCKZ). The PCKZ is aimed at health and social care professionals (HSCPs) who are caring for people living with a terminal illness, including at the end of life. We want to improve end of life care for everyone across the UK, by providing specialist information for people working in this area.
The writer will need to develop five new pages on specific topics, using an evidence-based approach and following Marie Curie’s production process. The topics will be confirmed before the start of the project but may include things like anxiety, continence care and medication at the end of life.
The project will run from around November 2019–February 2020 and will require approximately 40 days’ work, with more work required at the start of the project.
We’re looking for someone with substantial experience writing health and social care content for the NHS, a charitable organisation, a membership body or similar organisation. You should have experience following a process that requires robust evidence sourcing and working with expert reviewers. The ideal candidate would have experience writing content on symptoms management, palliative care or end of life care.
