Information services survey for NHS organisations – please take part!

PiF is currently developing the ‘Case for Information’, a comprehensive report that brings together evidence about the benefits of providing high quality health information for patients and the public – information which helps them to make decisions about their well-being treatment and care and to choose the right services. The case looks strong and our intention is that the report will provide a lever to encourage proper investment in patient information services.

It is therefore important for us to have an accurate picture of what is currently happening in NHS organisations for a number of reasons:

    • to help us better understand what’s happening ‘on the ground’ and help us to respond appropriately
    • to help us campaign for better services and investment on your behalf
    • to see whether the case for information has any impact on the commissioning and provision of information services for patients

So, we are asking NHS organisations to complete a short survey about the information they produce and provide for their patients. The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete and would help immensely in our work to improve patient access to high quality information and to improve the patient experience.

If you have contact with people working in patient information in other NHS organisations, please pass the link to the survey on. here is the link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/RYV9C8Z

The closing date for responses is Friday April 26th.
