The ALLIANCE (Health & Social Care Alliance Scotland) is looking for your experiences of using social media to support self management.
This showed that using social media such as Facebook, Twitter and closed forums can be beneficial in helping people with long term conditions to self manage. You can read an accessible guide to this evidence summary here.
PPHW are now looking to do some further research to better understand people’s lived experiences of using social media for self-management and supporting others to do this.
Working in partnership with Be Good Be Social and they now running two online surveys- one aimed at professionals and one aimed at individuals using social media for self management. The surveys can be accessed here:
