The Role
You will be leading on the development and delivery of our Cancer Chat web forum, which provides a space for people affected by cancer to share their experiences. You will be responsible for the efficient and effective leadership of Cancer Chat team ensuring objectives are met and high quality service is achieved.
You will manage the Cancer Chat moderators and work with other teams, such as the Cancer Information Nurses to ensure the forum is an informative and safe site.
Through strategically planning development work on the forum, you’ll ensure the forum does not compromise CR-UK’s brand, reputation or legal requirements and responsibilities.
The Person
We are looking for someone who has experience of managing online communities and understands online marketing principles and moderation issues and techniques. You’ll have good staff management experience, and a real interest in, and understanding of, patient information needs.
With the ability to build good relationships with a variety of different people you will also be able to apply tact and discretion in the handling of sensitive material and confidential information.

We offer comprehensive information via our CancerHelp UK website (www.cancerhelp.org.uk); our confidential helpline service staffed by specialist nurses; our forum, Cancer chat,’ where people affected by cancer can talk together, share their experiences, and find information and support.
