Information Officer (maternity cover)    

£28,000 per annum, pro rata (9 month fixed-term contract)

The Prostate Cancer Charity aims to reach everyone affected by prostate cancer thorough our services and information. We provide free information, tailored to the needs of men with prostate cancer and their families. Our publications are evidence based, independently reviewed and award winning.

As part of the Information Team, you will be writing and updating our range of information materials in print and online and will assist the Information Manager with the planning and development our resources, making sure that we are involving men affected by prostate cancer at every stage. You will also be responsible for collecting and providing evidence-based information and statistics by searching medical databases and websites, subscribing to relevant journals and attending conferences.

Who are we looking for?


The successful applicant will need to have the ability to turn complex health information into easy to understand English as well as:

  • excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • good proof-reading skills
  • the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • literature searching skills using medical databases.
