Information Officer
£30,500 per annum (6 months fixed contract)
The Prostate Cancer Charity aims to reach everyone affected by prostate cancer through our services and information. We provide free information, tailored to the needs of men with prostate cancer and their families.
As part of the Information Team, you will be writing and updating our range of information materials in print and online and will assist the Information Manager with the planning and development of our resources, making sure that we are involving men affected by prostate cancer at every stage. You will also be responsible for collecting and providing evidence-based information and statistics by searching medical databases and websites.
Who are we looking for?
The successful applicant will need to have the ability to turn complex health information into easy to understand English as well as:
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- literature searching skills using medical databases
- knowledge of the NHS and its services
- good proof-reading skills
- the ability to work to tight deadlines
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable as the successful applicant will begin work immediately on updating publications to tight deadlines
