Care Information Co-Ordinator

Salary circa: £25,000 per annum 37 hours per week
Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a fatal disease of the brain and central
nervous system. It leaves people locked into a failing body, unable to
move, walk and talk. The mind is usually unaffected. In the UK, five
people die of MND every day.
The MND Association exists to ensure that people with MND can achieve
the highest quality of life possible, and to fund and promote research
to bring an end to MND. We have over 3000 active volunteers, 150 staff
and an annual income of £13m.
We have an exciting opportunity for a professional who is experienced in information provision to work closely with staff across the National care Team to further develop and coordinate our care information resources and ensure that we are communicating effectively across our diverse audiences both externally and internally.
Previous experience of producing and reviewing evidence based information or a background in information management is desirable and an interest and the skills to exploit the use IT and new media applications for the purpose of delivering care information is essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must together with the ability to work on your own initiative, meet deadlines, forge effective relationships and deliver to a high standard.
