PiF Query

PiF's Query Service is a member only service.

It allows members of the Patient Information Forum to pose questions to other members by email, and to receive answers. The service can help you to learn more about a specific topic area, find out how others have dealt with particular problems or challenges and reduce time and effort spent researching or searching for answers elsewhere.

To help you get the best out of other members and to make sure you get the most useful responses, follow these guidelines:

  • Check to see whether the information you want  is already on the web site or has been asked before as a query.
  • Be ask specific as you can about what you want to know.
  • Decide who you want to ask, as well can target specific sectors or regional areas, or mail the whole membership. For example, if you have a question that relates to an NHS service or policy you might want to only ask NHS members, or if you are looking for a role description for a post in the voluntary sector you might only want  to ask voluntary sector members. Let our administrator know who you would like the email sent to.
  • Include your name, job title and organisation along with the query.
  • We ask PiF members to copy in our administrator when they respond by email, so that the responses can be collated and put onto the web site. If there is anything you do not want made public, let us know. All contact details will be removed prior to publication and any personal dialogue or references removed.

Queries and responses received since 2007 are shown on the web site. Any documents referred to in the responses can be obtained by contacting admin@pifonline.org.uk.

If you wish to send out a PiF Query or need to contact a specific PiF member please contact admin@pifonline.org.uk.
