News > Evaluating the quality of health information
The Patient Experience Network (PEN) has announced the first national awards for healthcare organisations working to improve patient experience.
The PEN National Awards are a great way to be recognised for what you have achieved towards patient experience and provides a way for you to share your learnings so that others can benefit from your innovation and ‘re thinking’
The categories are based around core domains of patient centred care. The main event is a ‘best practice – rethinking the experience’ day on the 19th January 2011 where all finalists have the chance to discuss their initiatives with delegates through posters and discussion, and the winners have the opportunity to present from the main stage. The award categories include:
- Communicating Effectively with Patients and Families
- Personalisation of Care
- Access to Information
- Family Involvement
- Support for the Caregivers
Go to http://www.patientexperiencenetwork.com/Awards/awards.htm for more information. The closing date for entries is 15 October 2010. There is an administration charge of £99 for the first entry and £59 for subsequent entries.
