NHS Evidence, a web portal provided by NICE, was launched in April 2009 with the principal aim of providing access to a comprehensive evidence base for everyone in health and social care who makes decisions about treatments or the use of resources.
As part of the project’s development and to access the most relevant content sources, NHS Evidence is engaging directly with health and social care professionals. For example, establishing on-line Advisory Panels in these areas: clinical; commissioning; drugs and technologies; education and learning tools; public health and social care.
NHS Evidence are looking for health and social care professionals who use NHS Evidence in the course of their everyday work, to review current online sources and suggest new ones. Feedback will be used to inform NHS Evidence’s strategy for content development as well as the selecting and prioritising sources. Participation in the panels will be via email, with the expectation of a monthly online contribution and feedback on aspects of user experience such as ease of use and relevancy of search results.
They are seeking professionals who are:

- informed about the principles of evidence based practice
- familiar with relevant information sources in their area of interest
- experienced in using email and the web as a communication tool
