PiF has recently secured a grant from the Department of Health's Innovation, Excellence and Strategic Development (IESD) fund. One of the key aims during year one of the project is to create a 'one stop shop' for consumer health information by redesigning, expanding and updating the PiF web site. We are looking for an experienced project officer to oversee the development of the new site. If you have excellent project planning and management skills, are organised and able to work with limited supervision and have previous experience of work in, or with, the IT sector, we would like to hear from you. Penny Brohn Cancer Care is looking for an Information and Research Assistant Intern. This is a 6-month fixed term part-time voluntary post (no salary) researching the evidence base for complementary therapies and writing evidence-based information sheets. The post is two days a week, though there is some flexibility in days and times. The post is based in Bristol. The Closing Date is 20 October 2011.

Royal Northern College of Music are looking for a professional with a proven track record of evaluating music/arts in health projects or participatory music projects with children and young people, who uses creative approaches to evaluation within a framework of current arts and health policies. The College wishes to evaluate the Youth Music funded 'Medical Notes' projects for their own learning as well as to include the evaluator's report in the final report to Youth Music. Bupa's Health Information Team is recruiting for a Health Editor to join the team to assist in the development of Bupa's consumer health content. The role requires editorial, publishing and evidence-based medicine skills, and involves producing health information that is relevant, readable and reliable, and that also communicates Bupa's brand values. The role is full time, based in London and is a fixed-term contract of one year. The closing date for applications is 1 July 2011.

This opportunity has arisen as a result of The Health Foundation awarding a grant to support practices and patients in taking up the facility of Online Record Access - the ability to see, use and understand your GP electronic health records online. With the Health Foundation project now nearing its implementation phase a Project and Research Coordinator is needed, contracted on a self-employed basis to June 2013. The work will take place primarily in Lewisham and Berkshire, supporting practices in both sites. The closing date is 13 May 2011.
