The conference programme includes discussion seminars led by policy experts and will enable to you to explore in detail the specific issues more appropriate to your work. There are seminars on health in later life and on information needs, to enable older people to make choices. The conference takes place in London on 18 March 2010. </description>

<title>Outpatient department survey 2009 shows communication remains an issue</title>

<description>Patients’ experiences of outpatient care and treatment are improving, according to results published by the Care Quality Commission this week. However, communication remains an issue with patients reporting that they didn't know what would happen during their appointment, staff didn't completely explain how to take medicines and staff talked about them like they were not there.</description>

<title>The Big Ideas Grant </title>

<description>The Department of Health (DH) has launched the Bright Ideas Grant (B.I.G), a £50K fund aimed at helping unlock the potential of those hundreds of small ideas that people have for improving health and social care services. <title>Doctors and electronic health information</title>

<description>A survey published in the New England Journal of Medicine this week shows that despite the growing popularity of the Internet, American's put more trust in the health expertise of their doctors. The study found that trust in web-based sources of information has declined slightly and that many people are using the Internet as a first source for health information before discussing questions with their doctors.  </description>

'Swap It, Don’t Stop It' is a Change4Life campaign aimed at overweight adults encouraging them to swap unhealthy behaviours for healthy ones. </description>
