Strategy, Operations and Advisory Groups
PiF is governed, managed and advised by three separate groups, which came into existence in August 2009.
Strategy Group
The Strategy Group was formed in August 2009 and is responsible for the governance and strategic direction of PiF and to provide an independent, external view of the organisation’s development and management. The group's role and remit is to:
- Provide leadership of PiF within a framework of prudent and effective controls
- Set and uphold PiF’s strategic aims, ensure that the necessary financial and human resources are in place for the organisation to meet its objectives, and review management performance
- Set and uphold PiF’s values and standards and ensure that the obligations to members and other stakeholders or clients are understood and met
- As a PiF representative to attend and, where appropriate, lead or speak at PiF and other relevant events.

Operations Board
The Operations Board is responsible for the day to day running of PiF. It consists of PiF's two Directors and a part time administrator:

Advisory Group
The purpose of the Advisory Group is to keep abreast of consumer health developments at both membership and policy levels and to use that expertise to advise the Strategy Group and Operations Board about future services and policy developments. Advisory Group members are:
