Sarah Thompson

Sarah has worked in Consumer Health Information for eleven years and is currently a Clinical Librarian at NHS Direct. Sarah is responsible for developing and maintaining an up to date library and information service for NHS Direct, specifically aimed at information for the patient, and also contributes to the development of the Patient Decision Aids and Health and Symptom Checkers.

Sarah actively participates in raising the awareness of CHI by attending and speaking at various events, and is involved in many groups which specialise in Health Information, including the SHALL Consumer Health Information Group, and sits on the committee of the CILIP Health Libraries Group and Libraries for Nursing group.
