Sarah Smith
- PiF Operations Director
- Regional Co-ordinator for the South West
Sarah Smith has worked in patient information for ten years at two medical charities, the National Eczema Society and the Blood Pressure Association, staffing and running a telephone information service and writing and developing publications and web sites. Prior to that she was a registered nurse with seven years experience in medicines, orthopaedics and gynaecology.
At the Blood Pressure Association Sarah set up the charity's information services from scratch, developing policy, piloting services and evaluating them and developing a range of publications to meet a variety of needs and circumstances. She has experience with user groups, focus groups and involving the public in developing services and information and has produced two booklets commended in the BMA patient information awards. The Blood Pressure Association, although a young charity, was short-listed for Charity of the Year in 2005.

She helped in the development of the PiF web site.
Sarah has left the voluntary sector to set up on her own working with the voluntary and corporate sector to develop and produce patient information services.
