Danny Sinclair

Danny Sinclair works as Regional Coordinator for Patient Information for the Northern Ireland Cancer Network. She studied BSc Information Management (hons) at Queens University Belfast before undertaking posts within the Health Promotion Agency for Northern Ireland and the Eastern Health and Social Services Board (Belfast). This included a regional post as Project Officer for the Cancer And Palliative Care Online Resource Network (CAPriCORN), which has now been transferred into the NICaN website www.cancerni.net.

Danny’s role in the NI Cancer Network team involves coordinating the NICaN Patient Information Forum and developing information pathways for each type of cancer. Danny works on the Network website to ensure that information is available easily and kept up-to-date. She plays a key role in the regional audit of patient information provision for people affected by cancer and is working with all five HSC Trusts in Northern Ireland preparing for the publishing and implementation of the Regional Service Framework for Cancer.

Particular areas of interest for Danny currently are: governance, quality appraisal and skills development for information providers.
