Danielle Swain

  • Contributor to the Patient and Public Involvement theme

Danielle’s role as Quality Improvement Manager at the Picker Institute Europe is to support healthcare organisations and health professionals in using patient feedback to inform service improvements. An important focus of this work is to identify and share good practice. Danielle has developed a database of good practice examples, organised training events and produced a range of educational literature, including a regular newsletter. She is also heavily involved in Patients Accelerating Change, an innovative project designed to help healthcare providers make practical use of their survey results.

Danielle joined the Picker Institute in 2002 with an education and information background. After graduating with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology and becoming a qualified teacher she taught science at a large comprehensive school before joining The Migraine Trust as Education Manager.
